Coca-Cola is rolling out a TikTok Shop exclusive flavor - “Happy Tears Zero Sugar.” What exactly does It taste like? Great question. Dropping on February 17th, Random Acts of Kindness Day, the limited-edition product is the newest drop of Coke Creations joining the lineup of 8 conceptual flavors like “Dreamworld” and “Starlight.” Happy Tears Zero Sugar is said to draw on feelings of joyful tears like when you cry at a wedding or when you get your email inbox down to zero. For those that need a little more insight, it has a “splash of salty minerals.” YUM!😋😭

Incorporating the TikTok trend of unboxings, the shop item will come with two cans, a t-shirt, and stickers in the “hype kit".” Anyone can be an influencer for just $9.99! The Coca-Cola Company is using this as a test to learn more about consumer behavior with a well established brand on the relatively new commerce platform. You better believe I will be watching the unboxing videos, for science of course! 😢😭🥲😪

Leaving a Lasting Impression

A few Newsies ago we talked about coaching your CX team through admitting fault. But what happens when a customer’s issue has nothing to do with your company?

Ever had one of those weeks where everything seems to conspire against you? You know, the kind where you spill coffee all over your computer, you hit all the red lights or you have an issue sharing your screen on an important meeting (just me?)? And when you think It can’t get any worse, you check your bank account to find It dwindling due to an unexpected subscription charge? That last straw can really test your patience.

Life has a way of throwing curveballs at us, and we recently had a customer who experienced something similar. Their fridge broke down, leaving them with no choice but to use their hard-earned money for repairs. (Imagine the irony of a meat subscription showing up when your freezer is on the fritz!) When they reached out to our customer support team, we knew we had to make things right.

We extended our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience and promptly adjusted their subscription to accommodate their situation. Recognizing their loyalty as a valued customer, we wanted to go the extra mile for them.

When the time came for their next subscription delivery, we decided to brighten their day a bit. We included some additional products for them to explore and enjoy. Our goal was to be a source of positivity in their life, especially during a month that had already been quite challenging even when It was at no fault of the brand.

In the end, it's these personalized experiences that leave a lasting impression. Even as a company with thousands of customers, we believe in remembering and caring about each individual. It's about making a difference, one customer at a time and turning negative or even neutral experiences into positive ones.
